Mortgage Pre-approval
Process
Before
we begin looking for houses, it is very important for you to talk with a
lender. Today there are all kinds of mortgages available with different
rates and features. A Mortgage Consultant/Loan Officer can help you select
the best option for you. Of course, you may choose to work with any lending
institution and/or Loan Officer. Based on her extraordinary competence and
customer service, I personally recommend:
Ramona Jenkins, Loan Officer
Bell Mortgage

Thanks to computers and automation, getting pre-approved for a mortgage
these days is quick and easy for most people. It is also a critical first
step in the home buying process for two reasons:
-
You will learn the maximum amount that the
lender will authorize for you to borrow, so we don’t waste time looking
at homes that exceed your borrowing capacity. As part of the
pre-approval process, the lender will give you a Good Faith Estimate of
the front-end, out-of-pocket costs to buy a home. The GFE will also
detail your monthly house payment for the approved maximum loan. On that
basis, you may choose to borrow less than the lender authorizes. In any
event, once you are pre-approved, we will be confident that we are
looking at homes that are in your “comfort zone” financially.
-
When we find your dream home,
you’ll be ready to make an immediate offer because I will present your
pre-approval letter to the seller(s) as part of your offer to purchase
their home.
